"How an FBI agent’s wild Vegas weekend stained an investigation into NCAA basketball corruption"
This article from the LA Times details the 2017 sting operation regarding NCAA basketball coaches receiving illegal payments from undercover FBI agents. This case was supposedly "the biggest and most significant federal investigation and prosecution of corruption in college athletics". Nathan Fenno tells the great story of how this investigation was going to bring down corruption in college athletics, but it did anything but that.
